Happy February!
The month of January was “Out of this World”! Our class ventured into Space and learned all about the 8 Planets: Mercury, Mars, Venus, Neptune, Earth, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter. Did you know that Mars is red because she’s mad or that Venus looks like a sparkling jewel made of gold!

The children enjoyed making their very own Universe, telescopes, styrofoam planets, rockets, constellations and much more. The preschool friends had a good time making the classroom Rocket Ship and going on a Space Adventure with our music and movement song. We also played fun space games such as Moon Rock Races.

February is going to be a busy month with so many exciting things to learn about. We will begin the month with our new theme: “Zoo Discovery”. Valentines Day, 100th Day , Groundhog Day will be special day celebrations in our classroom. It is going to be exciting to see our preschool class transform into a Zoo with all different animals. There will be special and fun projects for the 100th Day of School. During the month we will also be learning about Dental Health and how important it is to take care of our teeth.

*Each child can bring in a total of 45 valentines for the friendship day party. Also don’t forget pre-cut fruit for friendship fruit salad.

Thursday February 11th: 100th day of school celebration: All children are welcome to attend from 10-11 am . We will have many activities in our classroom to celebrate 100 days of school.

Just a reminder: please label all of your child’s belongings since there is a lot of extra clothing , winter clothes…we are doing our best to keep everything organized for your child.
